Daniel Mutch has announced the release of his third EP 'Remedy & Therapy' following 2013's 'Chapter One' and 'Anchors'. It is set for release on 1st November 2014.

'Remedy & Therapy' was written over a couple of months earlier this year after Daniel found himself with some spare time on his hands after a nasty ankle break. The EP also includes a couple of love songs about his girlfriend. Daniel tells me "It has three songs on it I wrote about my broken ankle and how I felt pretty isolated and not being able to do much. The other two songs are love songs about a girl."

Recorded and produced over the space of a week with Nick Scholey, who worked with Daniel on his last EP 'Anchors', at his home studio in Aberdeenshire. "I wrote all of the songs for the EP on my couch in April-May 2014. Then once they were all finished, I recorded them with Nick Scholey at his home studio in Ballater, Aberdeenshire. We spent one week recording and producing these songs."

'Remedy & Therapy' features Daniel at his most honest particularly on 'Cullen Sands' "Complicated is an understatement but I still have some treasured thoughts of you" The EP also features Daniels now trademark intricate guitar work and soaring choruses. The EP is Daniel's strongest to date but with five songs it will leave you longing for an album.

To coincide with the release of 'Remedy & Therapy' Daniel will be doing a short tour of Scotland not solo but this time with a live band. Daniel explains "Slightly different this time I'm gonna be on the road with a live band which should be more fun and maybe work better than solo." The tour includes a show in his hometown of Aberdeen at Cellar 35 with support from Leanne Smith, Ricky Fraser and Robbie Flanagan.

'Remedy & Therapy' will be available to buy at the live shows or as a digital download on iTunes and other download sites. It will also be available to  stream on Spotify. It is already available to pre-order on Amazon.co.uk.
