M.G Evans is a singer/songwriter from Wishaw.
The Wishaw singer will perform live album at Nice ‘n’ Sleazy on Sauchiehall Street shortly after the release of the single and he revealed it all came thanks to social media. Marc said: “I’ve mainly been gigging the last couple of years but it’s great to be able to strike up something. “My manager posted a video on Twitter at one of my gigs and MVB happened to follow her. “That’s how the dialogue started and we got round to sorting out a deal for distribution and production. “I’m looking forward to releasing ‘Beautiful Blueberries’ and after that we’ll probably release another two singles a month apart. “The plan is to have a studio album recorded in September as well but I’m also doing a live gig at Nice n’ Sleazy and releasing that as an album." “That’s happening on Saturday, August 20, just after the single has been released on iTunes so it’s all happening at once.” The Coltness singer admits that he has also started to write a more reflective style of song and is looking forward to releasing his new music. He said: “A lot of my songs come from different things and I’ve changed it up a bit more for the new album. “I was used to doing story-telling from different perspectives and putting myself into a character as a song. “Now I’ve changed it a little bit and I’m writing a lot more personal songs and taking a look at myself. “Everything is going well right now.” |
